A nice short game.

Its too hard to read (in the beginning at least). I cant understand a word and it doesnt help that the text is the same colour as rosys skirt. it hurts my eyes and i cant read half of it which is a shame bc everyone is saying its so good :(

So sorry, it ended up like that because of jam time limitations but I'm planning on updating the UI so it's more readable very soon!!

Yay! Please comment again when it is fixed. I would love to play your game when it is more readable :)

This was absolutely beautiful! The voice acting was so good I almost forgot I was playing a game and was watching a movie! All of it made better when I realized that there actually is a "Rosey" mushroom and she looks just like it! A very beautiful story that I didn't expect!

as a huge fan of body horror, i was a big fan of this little game!

the outwards panning of the camera to show the player rosy's little tendrils decomposing our flesh was a really cool use of the single image limitation, and her further explanation of what it is to decompose, and the beauty of melting back into the cycle of life and death was a really comforting and poetic read.  it's a nice feeling, to put something known to what's often considered one of the greatest unknowns of our lives.

rosy is adorably pleasant company to decompose alongside, by the way. death via poisonous spore kiss really doesn't seem like the worst possible way to go... 🍄🪵💘

Can it be played on android? By the way, is this a Ren'py game?

You can play the browser version on android, it just might be a little wonky. Yes, it's a renpy game!

Wonderful looking game, the only issue is how the text can be hard to read (on the web at least) but it's still a great little experience!

Oh my gosh, that was wild LOL I loved it???? Admittedly, the word "wild" doesn't seem to mesh with the initial appearance of this game as everything about it looks and feels and sound so sweet and calm -- UNTIL THINGS SHIFT? The reveal in the middle was so well done! I wasn't expecting that at all!

The moment I started this up, I felt quite at peace. The music is GORGEOUS. It somehow gave me a sense of the music of Thomas Newman's movie scores. Just very, mmm, peaceful yet sad, with repeating piano undertones that keep everything grounded. That coupled with the BG of the forest. It all put me somewhat at ease. Then Rosy showed up, and she was so adorable! Despite my underlying suspicions about her, I couldn't have guessed where it was ultimately leading (though perhaps I should have put two and two together more with the title of the game LOL). So it made for a really fun reveal when the camera finally panned down -- the pan effect paired with the music stopping and then the horror in the MC's voice, it was just really excellently done and definitely made me sit back a bit with my mouth open before continuing.

Then when it continued from there and Rosy was describing all these quite unnerving and ghastly things about decomposition and "filling" me with that even frank and calm tone, it was the weirdest juxtaposition I've ever experienced LOL It was so wonderfully surreal and mind-bending. The first ending I got was the peacefully fading away one, which I found to ultimately be as peaceful to me as to the MC -- there really was something quite... poignant and calming about just... becoming nothing... fading into the world around us... merging with nature. And I think you captured that feeling so excellently considering how willingly I accepted my fate LOL I played it again and got the ending where Rosy ultimately leaves and it just left me feeling empty inside GOD.

The art of Rosy is so well done! A lovely combination of cute mixed with the grotesque horror of the larger art upon her full reveal. And the VA was sooooo well done!! Both for Rosy, with her calm straightforwardness and for the MC, who had some really wonderfully emotional lines in there. Just overall absolutely fantastic and quite the strange and surreal experience. Oh, and loved how the title screen changes afterwards!! Oh, to be a skull full of mushrooms just lying in the forest......
